Mister James can take over data from Rowisoft blue. However, this requires some preparation.
1.) First download the latest version of the RSDE WebConnection server. You can find this here.
2.) Install the WebConnection server on the server that also has RSDE installed. It is important that you install in the directory that also contains the RSDE, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\ Rowisoft blue\ server. At the end of the installation, you will be shown a port number (e.g. 8000 or 8001). Remember these.
3.) Make sure that the “WebConnServer” service is started in Windows Services Management.
5.) If these requirements are met, the data transfer can be started. To do this, open a browser on your server (e.g. Google Chrome; NOT Internet Explorer) and log in at https://help.mister-james.com one.
6.) Then go to “Settings”, “Data Transfer” at the bottom left in Mister James. You can now start the data transfer under “Rowisoft blue”. To do this, enter the port number that you received under point 2 in the first field. After clicking on “Client”, you can then select a client that has been created in Rowisoft blue. As a username/password, please use the data that you also use to log in to Rowisoft blue (see point 4).
7.) Then click “Import data.”
8.) The data transfer is carried out in the background. Leave Mr. James open during import and don't switch to another area within Mister James. During this time, do not close the web browser and keep MisterJames open in the browser. However, you can minimize your browser or open a 2nd tab where you can continue working with Mr. James as usual. Note that, depending on the amount of data, the data transfer can also take several hours.
After completing the data transfer, Mr. James returns a corresponding message.
